Hello Zac,
My family and I have been following your courageous adventure. We think it is very exciting. Since your launch in mid-June and looking where you are currently, what do you think would be your projected completion date barring serious problem? What part of the trip do you think would be the most challenging?

Ah... There are times I wish I still lived in the L.A. area. Aside from the occasional craving for Tommy's Burgers :) there are occasional gatherings, like this, I'd love to go to.

Hope there's a great turn out!

Oh, I wish I could be there. Live footage fresh from the sea sounds horribly inviting...like a movie preview! Yet alas, I am in Colorado and must stay put.

I hope the night is most memorable. You will probably meet Zac Packers who never post, yet follow Zac's adventure in awe and in prayer.

Bonne Chance (Good Luck!)

We are rolling up here on the 4h month of this adventure. With my usual attention span, I'd have thought I'd have burned out on it weeks ago. Who will agree with me that it's only become more addictive? I guess I've become a Zap-Packer for life. When this adventure is successfully completed, and I have full faith that it will be, I await finding out what Zac will do with the rest of his life. He has set the bar for himself very high! To any extent to which he was not when he departed, he will return as a man of accomplishment with uncommon self confidence, and a knowledge of the basic goodness of the world. Without conscious intent, I suspect that he will be a role model in any endeavor which he elects to pursue. The world will be a better place with him in it.

If that maudlin and patronizing, I confess, This Zac-Packer is a fan. I hope that the 'book" is already forming in his mind so we won't have to wait for his muse to move him or for editors to try an turn it into a tale of suspense and hardship at sea.

I'm going to reread the Horatio Hornblower series to get into the proper frame of mind.
