Beautiful Grenada

Zac and company have hit the ground running and apart from a crackling phone call or short Skype conversations our communications have been limited. Christian Pinkston has sent over these awesome photos that should shed some light on the goings on...

Wonder what he is thinking? :)

Zac looks like he could use some well deserved rest. A few days of R&R will help.

I always love the pics with Zac and our beautiful flag in the background! Takes my breath away each and every time. I'm so proud that he's one of US!

Grenada looks like a beautiful place to restock, restore, and rejuvenate.

Zac's hair appears to have grown since his last cut. This should be good news for Bill Mann, whom I'm sure is chompin' at the bit to get ahold of those locks.

In lieu of the fact that Zac's homecoming may come down to a lottery of selective followers, perhaps the rest of the Pac should begin thinking about a picnic/BBQ at Chase Park to meet/greet and celebrate Zac's safe arrival home. Who's in?

Zac, I hope you and your Dad enjoy some of the fabulous food and Grenadian hospitality. Hope all your repairs go quickly. Best regards, Diane Wilkinson

I have an idea. I'll donate $5 per day for every 10 days in a row, that there's a message from Zac on the blog between now and when he returns to Marina del Rey. It has to be from Zac.

That means, if he sends blogs on nine days and doesn't send a 10th one on the tenth day, he gets nothing. If he sends 10 in a row, he gets $50. If he sends 20 in a row, he gets $100 from me. If he misses a day, and sends the next blog, it all starts over again.

Does anyone want to join me in the challenge?

I haven't figured out how much I will have to pay if he blogs every day between now and his arrival in MDR, but if we all join in, perhaps it will help the Sunderlands, who have struggled to keep Zac's dream alive, from financial disaster.

If he calls home and can't get through to blog, but gives his account of his day so Marianne or Laurence can blog for him, that should count for a blog from Zac, don't you think? Especially if he has to spend a lot of time waiting to traverse the Panama Canal, where he might have technical difficulties.

Who wants to join in?

Zac, I'll bet stepping on land again felt great! Eat good and rest up, the next leg to the Canal will be a hop, skip, and a jump compared to the last leg.

Are you using Lazy Jacks? If you are how are they working?

Actually, I think Zac looks pretty darm good! Marianne, Lawrence, your son is growing up in front of our eyes. So very handsome, and showing such gracious patience and being so courteous with the press and interviewers. You know he so tired, yet he still hangs in there! You both are to be commended for raising such a gentleman. lol from Culver City (smile)

Thanks for the great pics & congratulations on completing such a very long leg!

As excitement of your success builds, I welcome new bloggers and look forward to more posts from ZacPac regulars -- especially anticipating an update on the razor sharpness of Bill Mann's shears. Any consideration of electric clippers?? LOL

Best wishes for restful rejuvenation of body, soul and boat! CindyinCincy

It's great to see some pictures again. Zac looks like he's in good spirits.

What is Zac doing for ESPN? Will it air sometime in the future?

I hope Zac is receiving plenty of sleep and some good warm almost home cooked meals.

Enjoy Land,

Glad to see Zac is safe in Grenada. Can't wait to see the ESPN piece.
To Marilyn, conditions for donations? I think we "owe" the Sunderlands for the access they have given us, and not charged a "membership fee". I have bought Zac shirts, calanders, Lawrence's "book", etc. I am now going to make a donation, without conditions. To me it is important that this jouney is completed.
To annonymous, I think having a bbq is a good idea. Maybe Zac and family can make an appearence.
I hope all repairs can be made quickly and safely.
Sail on Zac!

Where is Port Louis? I know Mauritius has a Port Louis but there isn't one in Grenada to my knowledge.

ZAC: I first heard of your adventure last Friday, 5/1/09, on SoCal Connected. How very amazing you are. You have touched many people; and I am certain that you will be a role model for the rest of your life! Congratulations! May our dear Lord continue to watch over you. Hi Zac, it sounds like you are enjoying your trip to panama! Good to know that you have favourable conditions and that all is well. Keep enjoying yourself and stay safe! Sounds like you will be sensible to stay well offshore! Good luck and I look forward to watching you through the webcms at the locks on the canal!
