Zac's Arrival in Marina del Rey Postponed to Thursday July 16th
Hello All,
After weighing all of the variables surrounding Zac's last miles home, we have decided to postpone his arrival in Marina del Rey until Thursday July 16th - same time and place. We waited as long as we could in making the determination in an effort to preserve the date but felt we could not wait any longer to make an official change. This will give him the flexibility to arrive when the winds blows him in and not to be stressed out with a schedule to meet.
He had an exciting night last night which he will blog about today. Other than that, he is well and excited and seems to be savoring his last days at sea.
Cheers,
The Sunderlands

I'm sorry, I missed the time. Is Zac expected in between the hours of 8 am until 6 pm on 7/16? I work in the Marina and hope to see this during the workday. :)
Can't wait to see you again Zac and wish you congratulations. I will be taking that day off of work just for you bro.

Seems the ceremony may be faux, as Zac actually may arrive earlier. Yet, this is very sensible, allowing him to get his land legs and family time in before turning to the horde. Little could deter my plan to be there.
Thanks for the update. I'm sure everyone will change the sick day for this next Thursday. The less stress Zac has the better. Let's see Zac do some savoring sailing without a schedule to hold.

Be sure to savor the remaining days, Zac.
I can't wait to hear what your next adventure will be. Read up on the adventurer John Goddard - http://www.johngoddard.info - he's a good role model for you.
I'll be there on Thursday to celebrate your return! Hang in there!

Interesting, that. I had the 16th in my mind all along:o)
Enjoy the days, Zac, and here's hoping it's not as cold out there. Say hello to the dolphins for us!!

If I am not mistaken, then same time same place would mean 10:00AM at Fishermans Village on Thursday morning.
Just look for the stange man with the scissors and you will know you are in the right place.
Zac, rest assured that I am not going to attack you on the pier to get your locks. Not that I did not think about it, but the LAPD would probably think very poorly of it and I would probably have a difficult time back at the factory trying to work while wearing handcuffs.
Enjoy the rest of your voyage.

Just saw a piece on Zac on our local (LA) ABC affiliate during the 4:00 news! All you other locals, keep any eye out, as I'm sure they'll run it throughout the night.
Boy, how this year of following Zac had flown by!
I'll bet Zac is having a hard time containing his excitement about being home again, and I bet he can taste the finish date now!
Thursday it is!!!
People magazine, huh? I've got to look for that! I'm crushed I didn't get an ESPN magazine, but one will turn up somewhere I'm sure.
At least your not in the 'gossip' magazines!
Namaste~~
I really appreciate all the supportive comments on the blog. Changing the date and trying to accomodate everyone's schedules has weighed heavily on Zac and his parents. The support shown by the Zac-Pack is incredible. Can't wait to meet as many of you as possible on Thursday.
Keep watching the news. There's lots of coverage coming up!

As I eagerly await my turn at Zac's hair, I have written the 2nd Bloggers Newsletter.
Those who have signed up for the newsletter, the invite to open the letter will be going out sometime this evening.
For those who would like to sign up, send an email to get on the list.
Tack on Zac. We are all awaiting your arrival.

Zac;
My kids and I have followed your trip from your beginning last year. We prayed and hoped you'd have a safe trip and would achieve your goal.
You're an incredible young man to have done all you have. There can only be great things ahead in your future.
We wish you safety on these final miles and as a parent myself, I have no doubts yours will be glad to have you back home at the dinner table!
Be safe!

Mom and Dad, How does it feel to have such a beautiful son? I have twin sons and each has their special gift (1 in ballet and 1 in karate). Your son is amazing. If we had more children like him and more parents like us -this world would be FANTASIC. I am so proud of how you have raised your son. I am taking notes on how to be more supportive toward my sons. You Rock!! I look forward to watching online when you get to hold him in your arms again. Good Speed and God Bless.
