Speaking & Documentary
So it’s calmed down a bit in the Sunderland home since Abby is now off and in good winds. As for myself, the book deal is going through as the proposal was just finished and now my literary agent David Kuhn out of NY is gonna shop it around to all the publishing houses. After it gets picked up, we'll finish it off.
The much anticipated documentary is undergoing final edits. I was done but I wanted to add some stuff so I'll be hitting the editing studios on Monday for a few days of touch ups and voice overs. It's gonna be worth the wait.
Well I spoke at the Adventure and Travel Conference at the LA Convention Center Saturday and Sunday. I’ve been doing a lot of speaking these days and just got back from speaking at the Bay View Yacht Club in the frozen land of Detroit. I've never felt -5F before and it’s not a good thing. I also spoke at the Brentwood Academy in Tennessee last week which was good fun.
Well I’m off to go work on the documentary.
Cheers,
Zac

I'm looking forward to the documentary and the book.
Negative 5 is crazy-cold. That's one of the blessings of living in Southern California. I lived that crazy-cold for most of my life.
It's much better here.
Zac,
Thanks for the update.
Have fun editing, and have a great President's Day!

Thanks for the update! I was starting to think I should ask when the documentary is going to show up, even though I don't have time to watch it now. ;)
Zac,
It's good to 'hear' your voice again....it's been a while. Glad to know that you are busy with speaking engagements and hope all is going well for you. So, now you have your driver's license and all...cool...I'll be happy when I receive the much awaited DVDs!!!! and looking forward to reading about all you went thru out there in the sea.
Am also following Abby, but for some reason, it's not the same as when you were on your voyage...nothing to do with her...I guess it's just easier second time around (for me that is! LOL!!!)
Take care, will be checking in again to hear more of your progress.
Take care, God be with you,

Dude, awesome job speaking at BA! I always come up with awesome adventures to carry out but the rents aren't too supportive. You're lucky. And that dirtbiking trip sounds like a blast! Wish I could go.
God bless,
Ryan
Zac,
There is an Australian guy named Nick Jaffe who just finished a fantastic sailing adventure. He did it in a boat just like Tania Aebi had. He went to Europe after he finished college, bought the boat and sailed it back to Australia. Rather than go through the Panama canal, he had the boat trucked across the US. Here is his web site where all of it was documented in photos, videos, and writings:

I think that you will enjoy the story.

I live in the crazy cold of Port Huron which is only 45 min. north of detroit. Its a great place for sailing tho.
looking forward to the book & documentary.
IS your mom sad that you are away from home ?

Hey Zac! Good to hear from you again --- it's been a while! Please post speaking engagements in your newsletter so if you are anywhere close, we can catch you there. That would be so cool!
Lots of news from the Sunderlands'... A new brother on the way, Abby crossing the equator, and your travels all over the US. Busy bunch you all are!
Needless to say, I am among the many who can't WAIT until your DVD is complete!
Keep taking good care!
Blessings,
Marie, WA St.
Thanks Zac for the update! I am so looking forward to your documentary. By the way - I am doing a photography project for this whole year - and I went hiking when it was 0 outside. I live in Ohio, so we deal with those temps way too often. Just seeing our 2 FEET of snow melting a bit - which is nice. Take care Zac....can't wait to watch DVD -

-5 is comfortable enough... as long as you keep moving. There are a few more sailors out there this year, taking the world on. But they will never take anything away from your voyage, which was a real travel epic. It is hard to watch Jessie at the moment sail right past all those great places you got to stop off at and enjoy (and share with the world). Looking forward to seeing your book on the stands. A definite purchase, and something great to read to the kids. Hope it's a bestseller.
Hey there Mr. Zacster!
I am so bummed I didn't know you were here in Nashville! The academy is right down the street from where I work and I would have been there in a heartbeat if I had known you were there. Glad to see you are moving forward with all the book and documentary stuff. I am now following your little sister's blog. I know you are very proud of her. Take care!

-5 below! Maybe your next adventure should be spending a winter up in Minnesota! Actually, there's no way we could handle all that heat you all have down your way! Glad the book and documentary are going good.
Zac-
It's nine degrees in kodiak today. It sure feels cold after spending three weeks in hawaii. Cheers

Hi Zac really enjoyed the new blog.
We live in England and we are in a school called Long Meadow in Milton Keynes. Me, Tyler and my class have been learning about you and your amazing adventure. Reading through your blog I noticed that Abby has left. We were wondering where she left to. We were also wondering what other adventures you are going to do.
