Zac arrived in Port Elizabeth around noon (African Time). All is well. He was met by friends of my aunt and uncle who lived in South Africa during the 70's. In fact, he has been met in port several times by good friends of theirs who have blessed Zac with meals and nautical advice in abundance! We are still amazed by the kindness and generosity of strangers and how supportive people have been.
Zac is getting acquainted with the folks at the Algoa Bay Yacht Club and will have a newsy blog by this evening as he is still looking for a good Internet connection!
Cheers,
Marianne et al

Awesome! The first two legs around the cape have gone so well -- keeping in my prayers that the remaining legs go the same!

Hello,
Marianne, thanks for the update. It's great to see all the love and support Zac is receiving throughout South Africa.
It's great when we must check the blog several times a day to get information. Entries are moving really fast now which means Zac is very busy.

Thanks Marianne for keeping us up to speed. Loved the Q and A on the previous entry, especially the one where they asked him if he misses his mum! Just great.
Glad that Zac is ok and that he has support there, makes us all rest easier, I am sure.
Just amazing the progress he is making.

Zac-
I am so happy to hear you made it into port. Hopefully you can catch up with Marta and find out what happened. I know you have been concerned. Get some rest and nourishment. We are all behind you. We all love you.

Zac,
At this rate you will be home gefore you know it! Safe and sound. Curious to know how difficult it is to navigate Intrepid in and out of the currents that you have made mention of, sounds challenging and maybe even a bit exciting! Take care and enjoy your stay in Port Elizabeth!
