Even after all these months, Capt Zac! still amazes me. The stamina required to do interview after interview, while checking in on & helping w/the R&R of The Lady Intrepid & STILL finding time to take in the sites. WOW!

Noticed a semi-re-vamp of the main ZacSunderland.com home page - Nice job!

I see the 50% sale at Zac!'s store is still going on & the "original" shirt design stock is getting lower & MUCH more limited in sizes. Guess I'd better finish getting me w*rk-mates their shirts (this'll be a 2nd set for them :) ). Been toying w/getting me fam another set, but we'll see how finances go over the next couple weeks (sure hope can get them before the price goes back up!).

Me boss came over & perused thru Zac!'s calendar again LOL, sometimes she is just too funny! "so when's he getting home?" "you ARE going to be there, right?!?" LOL I wish Boss! :)

Trying to sched me week vaca around my Hero's arrival back in Home Port is challenging - we all know Gaia & Neptune don't always w*rk together for Capt Zac!'s benefit. Sometimes it seems they throw everything at him & The Almighty has to be asked to step in to calm them back down. :)

Well, enough of my 2-cents here, need to share it elsewhere (Capt Zac!'s store maybe?).

Bear HUGS! y'all!

Great interview. Zac has caught Val's attention and she's staying on top of things. We can expect some good coverage by KCET on Zac's return.

Great interview Zac...and your description of the close call with the ship you call a "huge hunk of metal that the top of your mast doesn't even reach" really paints a chilling picture.
Lets hope this last leg is a smooth one..but keep on your toes just in case.
Enjoy the rest of your stay and get ready to meet your extended family!!
Oh yeah if you haven't read my card yet..i too have a b-day in June..the 20th just by chance your planning on arriving for it!! Hahaha just kidding but that would be pretty cool. The 21st is fathers day or July 4th would be pretty cool too...whoo hoo what a party that would be!
Until then..be safe!!

Can everyone feel the tension mounting. Zac is not home yet but the mere fact that he's in the pacific is enough exciting news.

I missed the post yesterday so I'll watch the KCET special tonight. Thanks Marianne for letting us know whats going on and always keeping us posted.

Thank You,

Marianne,
Thank you for the link. It was an interesting interview. I do agree that a bit of a haircut may be in order. As I tell my kids, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Gah! To the haircut promoting people: Zac is sailing around the world. The last thing he needs to worry about is his hair; if it bothers him, he'll deal with it. It looks fine. If first impressions someone gets from an interview is "dang, look at that hair" then they're really missing the point. But that's their problem, not Zac's. I mean, really guys... :)

Go Zac, go. Marianne, as always, thanks for the updates.

Cheers all,

As for Zac's hair~~it pretty good with the girls his age!! As for first impressions; he's already done that and gets an A+++! Who needs a haircut when your busy doing hard things?!

Namaste~~

Hey Zac! Glad to hear you are ALMOST HERE!! Can't wait for you to make history.. that must be an incredible feeling..

I have a question.. in the Ventura County Star article [the link that was posted on the 19th], it said that Zac had endured brutally hot days." Just how hot did it get out there?

Anyway, keep up the good work, Zac. We're cheering for ya!!

Lots of hugs!

Mama Marianne,

I think that all Zackpackers like to see THE FACE behind all the work that is done "behind the screens".

So, come on, put your best smile on that picture that you can post on your website here..

Interview of Zac on CNN tonight?

My daughter called me to tell me that there is an interview on CNN at around 10pm, being 4am in the morning for us here in South Africa.

Any confirmation of that?

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against long hair. All I was referring to was a trim - a little "sprucing up". I understand that he hasn't had any opportunities on his voyage. Just a light comment :-)!
