Cape Town Update

Abby entering Table Bay

The last few days in Cape Town have been good. Lots of work going on and - Wild Eyes will be in good shape in no time. The weather here is so different from when I was here last January. It's been raining off and on ever since I got here also the long summer nights have been replaced by stormy dark evenings.

The last couple days have been spent ripping everything off the boat that's not bolted down and taking it to a warehouse to dry out. We will be organizing all of it and putting it back on after all the major work is done. Scott managed to get the wind generators on and there was a bit of a blow this afternoon so we are able to test them and see that they are working nicely. The autopilot parts arrived and today has been a wiring day. Should be all up and going soon.

It's been awesome to see all the old friends here in good old Cape Town. I'm sure I'll end up moving here some day - a very chill atmosphere.

Good to see old Abner again!

Well the traffic in to Cape Town is crazy in the mornings and I've gotta be up at 6 to beat it so I'm gonna crash.

Cheers,

ZAC

Off to Cape Town

Off to Cape Town and I am really excited to go back there. It has been over a year since all my adventures over there and now my sister is on one of her own! We're all really proud of her over here. We had a BBQ at the the house Saturday night with a lot of the people that helped her get ready to go and that have continued to through out the last 3 months.

I've got my bag all loaded up with water maker parts and all the camera gear in fresh Pelican cases (there is nothing better than having fresh foam all cut out so everything is packed perfectly).

My amazing girl friend, Becky, came over at 6am on Sunday for a quick breakfast and then on to LAX where I got on a plane to Amsterdam. I had a short layover there and then on to Cape Town. I arrived at 10pm on Monday. Abby's hauling along out there so she may be in before my dad and Scott get in at noon but it's all good. Cape Town is like my second home and with the help of my good friend Erik we will make sure she gets in safe and sound.

We will be taking lots of pictures and video and I'll keep you all posted while I'm here.

Peace and Adventure ,

Zac
